... a time to prepare
Sunday December 8th:
SMUM Christmas Gift Card Drive for Youth
This year in place of the "Sponsor a Family for Christmas" program which appears to have been discontinued, St. Tim's has pledged to donate gift cards to the teens at SMUM. The Director, Omar Torres, told us that teenage youth are under-served this time of year. Everyone loves to give presents of toys to children, but teenagers are often left out. SMUM serves about 120 teens ages 11-17.
On Dec. 8th at all services, we will collect gift cards for $25 to Walmart or Target. Our Rite 13 youth are getting in on the act by personalizing the gifts. If you prefer to write a check, we will be happy to buy the cards for you. Please make checks out to St. Timothy's but write SMUM gift card drive on the memo line.
St. Nicholas' Pajama Sunday Family Service
The 9:00 Family Service on December 8th will be one you won't want to miss. You're invited to roll out of bed and come straight to church in your jammies! We'll be celebrating the feast of St. Nicholas, and in his honor we're asking everyone to bring a set of new pajamas to donate to Santa Maria Urban Ministry.
Nicholas' life clearly reflected the way each of us is called to show God's love to others, especially those in need. Let's remember Nicholas' goodness and generosity by sharing the gift of warm, cozy pj's with those less fortunate. All sizes needed and welcomed.
P.S. We're expecting a visit from St. Nicholas himself, so don't miss out!

St. Tim's News
ATTENTION PARENTS! The holiday season is in full swing. We're looking for parents to participate in this year's Christmas Pageant. If you would like your son or daughter to participate or just want to help out and join in on the fun, let us know here.
On November 24th, we celebrated our blessings with a single service and parish potluck. If you were unable to attend and still have a pledge card that you would like to turn in, you may drop it in the offering plate on Sundays or an online pledge card is available here.
Blank pledge cards are also available in the office during the week (Tu-Fr) and at the back of the church on Sundays.
