At St. Tim’s parishioners and non-parishioners meet in small groups called Covenant groups. Covenant groups are an enduring network of small groups that support each other spiritually through the highs and lows of personal and community life. We currently have 5 groups meeting weekly to share their lives and faith, study and pray.
Groups often use a Bible study format called a Look Book Took. Typically the Look Book Took are based on the Gospel reading and sermon from the previous Sunday.
Covenant Groups help us know the presence of Christ in one another.
Meeting in parishioner’ homes, Covenant groups are a safe place to to explore faith and support one another.
The group begins by observing a moment of silence.
After a brief prayer members share the highs and lows from their week.
A simple Bible study follows, using the Look Book Took method which is usually based on the Gospel reading and sermon from the previous Sunday. No special Bible knowledge is required to participate. The meeting concludes with prayer, either silent or aloud.
Most Covenant groups last between 1-1/2 and 2 hours and have between 5 and 12 people present.
All groups are open and will welcome new members whether they can attend regularly, sporadically, or for a limited duration. If you are interested in trying out a group or starting a group, please contact Anne Wilde at Anne Wilde for information.
You will find a list of currently active Covenant Groups below.
