We are a non-academic program and support contextual learning through play and social interaction. Our daily activities are based on the children’s interests and developmental needs.
AGE REQUIREMENTS:
We are a mixed age classroom and accept children starting at age 2 years, 9 months up to 5 years. Once a child has turned 6 they are no longer eligible to be enrolled.
POTTY TRAINING:
If your child is still potty training we are happy to work with you and support your child at their pace and comfort level. We have abundant resources to help you and your child through this process.
NAPPING:
Children staying for our Full Day (3:00 pm) or Extended Day (5:30 pm) Programs have the option of sleeping or resting in our nap room. Each child has their own nap mat and bedding and a teacher will help them settle in while listening to gentle music or guided meditation.
Children who do not nap will continue engaging in open play options/activities.
MASKING:
Masking is now optional for students and staff.
CLEANING & SANITIZING:
Teachers clean and sanitize our classroom and materials at the end of each day and have completed Integrated Germ Management training to do so safely and effectively. A professional cleaning crew also arrives each day after we close to clean bathrooms, carpets and floors.
DROP-OFF & PICK-UP ROUTINES:
We ask that parents do drop-off and pick-up outside the classroom at our sign-in station, as opposed to entering the classroom. We’ve seen an increase in children having an successful transition into the classroom each morning using this approach.
