Skittles - Teen Drum Ensemble
Some would say that a percussion instrument in the hands of a teenager is a dangerous thing! But this is a great way for young people to participate in a group that is inclusive, fun, and energetic. We learn and create rhythms on a variety of instruments from around the world, as well as electronic percussion. Skittles meets every Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m., and has plans for performances and participation in worship services.
Festival Choir
Although the focus of our parish is more contemporary, we maintain a choral group which gives expression to the beauty of sacred choral music. The Festival Choir provides music principally for Holy Days and other services when traditional music is appropriate. This ensemble is always looking for singers who love choral music.
Instrumental Ensemble
Our Instrumental Ensemble allows us to enrich traditional worship during Holy Days, and also provides opportunity to share the gift of music during special events.
Outreach - Concerts, Events and Gatherings
Since the advent of the Contemporary Music Ministry, we seek opportunities to share God's abundant blessing through our musical gifts. In-Church functions have included concerts, fairs and a coffee house, which features performances, as well as poetry readings and art exhibits. Past outreach concerts and performances by Stone Table include the international TENS (The Episcopal Network for Stewardship) conference in June, 2004 in San Francisco and a performance at the Spirit West Festival in 1999.
