Hill rides take us up through Los Altos Hills, along Page Mill Rd., Moody Rd., Arrascadero, etc. Some of the hills can be quite long and steep. Less motivated riders may get off their bikes and walk. Some may feel the need to stop and rest.
Flat rides take us along Foothill Expressway, on the Sand Hill-Alpine Rd. loop. Another good route is along the bike path from Mountain View to Shoreline Park. There may be some hills along this routes, but they would be short and very manageable.

Can you give us an idea of the routes that you take. Flat versus hills, etc.

Currently we are riding between 20 and 30 miles on Saturdays. Some of us hope to push toward 50 miles as the summer comes.
Also, we want to start a second riding group -- something that beginners and older children can enjoy without feeling like they are being left behind or pushed beyoud their ability.
If anyone would like to step up to lead such a group, please let the Rector know.

So, how long are these bike rides? Where do you ride to?

I don't know Maly. I know my bike doesn't go anywhere on its own. I have to lend it out for it to get any exercise at all.

Madeleine Gerdes is working on a design for Holy Spokes jerseys. She has a contact she believes will be able to do jersey's for us at a reasonable price.
