The Gift of Years
..Grow old along with me The best is yet to be!
Robert Browning may have had our parish in mind when he penned those lines. But do we really believe what the poet has to say? November is a time for reflection, for gathering together, for counting our blessings.
Join us on Wednesday evenings, November 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 30th (No class on the 23rd), as we explore the mysteries, joys, blessings, and challenges of growing older.
Although this class will explore the challenges of opportunities of growing older, it is not a class for the elderly. Everyone who lives shares at least one thing in common: each day they are one day older. And, as Dylan once said, He not busy being born is busy dying. Regardless of your age, come explore the gift of years.
Julie Barton will be our guest teacher. A consultant in gerontology, Julie has taught at Santa Clara University. Her best-known accomplishment at this parish is being the mother of parishioner Anne Wilde.
Participants will share stories, rituals, and insight into the mystery and gift of growing in wisdom while growing in years.
