The Rector's class will use the characters from the popular movie Shrek (Shrek, Donkey, and Princess Fiona) to explore issues related to the challenge of discovering the joy of community in faith.
The reality of isolation and alienation in American culture is subtle. The joyful life is a product of living in a faithful covenant community. Isolated people cannot know what they are missing until some person or some event breaks their isolation and thrusts them into an experience of a quality of life with others they never imagined possible.
