Emergency Preparedness

October is National Emergency Preparedness month, and recent events remind us of the need to prepare our homes and families for a natural disaster.

On Wednesday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m., the Rector will discuss emergency preparedness as a stewardship issue, including our responsibility towards those who are sick, poor, or elderly when a disaster strikes.

On the following Wednesdays, October 12 and 19, safety expert Dave Wilde will get very practical and offer suggestions, checklists, and resources so that your family will be ready in the event of a disaster. Please consider inviting your family, friends, and neighbors to these highly informative sessions. Remind them that they can come for a delicious, reasonably priced dinner before the meetings.

All classes meet at 7:00 p.m., and childcare is provided in the nursery. For questions or to sign up, email the church office.

Also offered in October: American Heart Association Adult and Pediatric CPR with Anne Wilde. Class will be held Saturday, October 22 from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Cost is $40.00 and includes a certification card valid for 2 years. Please pre-register for CPR by emailing anne@sttims.org or calling the church office.
