Our Mission Statement

Our mission is developing disciples of Jesus Christ in Silicon Valley.

Our Values

Who we are—the GIST of St. Timothy's—is reflected by our core values (Growth, Innovative Ministry, Service out of Giftedness, Transforming Relationships). These four values first emerged out of our ministry revisioning process last year, in which 30% of members provided their input. In January, at the parish meeting, these values were brought back to the parish and clarified further. The finished core values statement, drafted by the group of former senior wardens of the parish, reflects prayerful listening and thoughtful discernment of who the parish is today.

Growth
We follow, learn, and practice the way of Jesus Christ. Along the way we care about and challenge one another. We experience together God's transforming power at work in us "doing infinitely more than we can ask or imagine." (Ephesians 3:20)

Innovative Ministry
Our ministries convey the Gospel in ways that are meaningful and relevant to people in Silicon Valley. Our ministries "meet people where they are" while remaining grounded in the Anglican approach to discovering truth through Scripture, Christian tradition, and reason.

Service out of Giftedness
We serve others out of our unique gifts. These gifts flow from God. Through our gifts together with God we make a difference in the world.

Transforming Relationships
We make intentional commitments, or covenants, to God and each other. Through these covenants we experience personal growth, mutual accountability, and support.
