Nuts & Bolts: Getting Involved
How to Get Involved at St. Tim's
If you are new to St. Timothy's, or would like to get more involved, here are some proven ways to connect with others in the community.
- Join a Covenant Group! There's no better way to get to know people than by being in a covenant group.
- Come to the parish dinner. It happens every Wednesday night, and you're sure to click with someone at your table.
- Take a class. There's always an adult education offering on Wednesday evenings, so stick around after dinner and enjoy meaty discussions with fellow parishioners. Or take the plunge and sign up for The Book, a 40-week study of the Bible.
- Teach or mentor kids. If you love working with small children through elementary school age, get on the Godly Play team. If the constant surprise of teens is more your speed, the parish's youth mentors would love to have you.
- Help out. There are many events and projects that need workers, and you will be welcomed with a big smile if you come to help. Check the Word Weekly for information about upcoming events, or talk to the clergy or staff if you want to know where your gifts can be fully expressed.
